Nomination Potential
Scott, Ohio - 2-4-2008
Ron Paul would have an incredible potential for securing a nomination for the Presidency, if only he made a few, crucial changes to his campaign strategy.

Campaign Signs
Bruce, 2-4-08
Seems to be the only candidate that has illegal posted campaign signs in my neighborhood. When I complained to the local "youth group" they got angry with me - one wanted to fight me :)

Dated Politics

Ron Paul is a man of political idealism and integrity, and for that I commend him. After that, I fundamentally disagree with the foundation for his political ideology.

Willing and able to make real change
Michael, OR, 1-31-08
Ron Paul is the only candidate willing and able to make the changes necessary for the United States to return to the foundations of our Constitution.

Stay on offense
Alex, MN, 1-29-08
I think he has a real opportunity to redefine "Republican" and/or "Conservative".

"Several Writers Contributed to the Product"
Dustin (MN) 22 January 2008

Those were the words of Ron Paul when he was confronted on Jan 8th about a newsletter he put out. The newsletter contained some pretty nasty remarks about Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The full quote is as follows:

"When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit," Paul said in a statement issued by his campaign on Jan. 8. "Several writers contributed to the product."

"For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name," he continued.

Several writers contributed, huh? Where have we heard that before? HMMM...oh yeah, an elected school board member uttered the same phrase when he had to own up to his own questionable rantings on his American Hot Sausage blog. My favorite part of the newsletter was where Paul actually refers to he and his wife to close out the letter. Oh, but you didn't write the offensive items...only those other things huh?

It's great when several writers put out a product under one name. You NEVER have to own up to the bad stuff. Right, Chrishelio? Don't get me wrong - Paul is perfectly entitled to say whatever the hell he wants. If he truly believes that MLK is all the things he said he was in his newsletter, more power to ya Ron. HOWEVER, at least have the testicular fortitude to own up to the comments. Everything I say on this blog has my name attached to it and I will gladly stand behind all of those comments. Cowards that hide behind comments like several writers contribute...that drives me nuts. Be a man, own up to your beliefs. Don't "take responsibility" when you follow it up with "however, Several writers contributed..."

Here is another comment made in one of his newsletters...probably a comment that one of those other writers said...

"What an infamy Ronald Reagan approved it!" another newsletter comment read. "We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day."

Ah, the brilliance that is Ron Paul...er, I mean several writers that contribute to the product that has Ron Paul's name on it. Of course, the Paulites are fuming that this info came out and are playing cover Ron's ass.
