Campaign Signs Bruce, 2-4-08 Seems to be the only candidate that has illegal posted campaign signs in my neighborhood. When I complained to the local "youth group" they got angry with me - one wanted to fight me :)
Dated Politics polisciguy, CA, 2-1-08 Ron Paul is a man of political idealism and integrity, and for that I commend him. After that, I fundamentally disagree with the foundation for his political ideology.

I like many of the ideas that RP expresses. I think he has a real opportunity to redefine "Republican" and/or "Conservative". The ideas that I can connect with are based on smaller government and personal choice. Stay out of my business.
However, the problem I have with his overall position is his approach to the role of the government and military. I think the idea that our national defense just fighting on our soil scares the hell out of me. I have to admit, I think the government has grown beyond most of it's usefulness, but keeping us safe in a time when our enemies have made public pledges to destroy us is about the only thing the government should be committed to.
